YCR-200M Automatic battery internal resistance tester,which is shortenedly termed as machine hereafter, is applied to measure the inner resistance of battery and the damage degree of acidification membrane done to the battery. By imposing 1KHz AC signal on the object tested, the inner resistance can be worked out through measuring its AC voltage drop. (It is different from the principle of measuring resistance with multi-purpose electric meter. It is utilized to measure milliohm-class resistance and can be applied for object with or without power supply, multi-purpose electric meter is used to measure ohm-class resistance and only applied for object with no power supply; so the two cannot be thought as equal.) The quality of battery is measured by magnitude of the resistance value. Generally speaking, the smaller the resistance value is, the better quality the battery has. Therefore, it is quick and reliable to test the quality of battery by measuring the internal resistance
